What is the youth ministry’s relationship with the parents? How can we serve the parents?

In youth ministry, we should always remember that if we don’t have the trust of the parents, we won’t have much of a youth ministry at all. Therefore, it is very important to make a connection with parents. Meet the parents, know the parents and make sure that there is always a level of communication with the parents.
When a new student starts attending your youth group write a letter to the parents introducing yourself and explain what your youth group is all about. Then add them to your “parents of the youth” mailing list and send out a monthly newsletter to the parents. You can make your own, but you can subscribe to a pre-made parent-youth worker newsletter. You may need to edit the newsletter, because it could address certain topics that your church does not support. (ParentLink is a recommended parent-youth worker newsletter)
