How do you make guests feel welcome?

For the most part young people want to do their best to do the right thing. If you remind them on regular basis that most people are looking for friendship, and anyone that will just be nice to them, they will see the importance of greeting the guests at church. And ultimately it will make your guests feel welcome. Once your students comprehend the fact that simply being nice is an effective tool, they will develop a burden to see guests greeted, because they know it works!! This is also very good for young people feeling a call to the ministry to be involved in. You could even go as far to make it someone’s ministry to organize a schedule of who is going to be a greeter that night. Ultimately you want every student to be practicing this, but having assigned individuals will help with allowing no one to fall through the cracks. This rule is important for you as the leader to follow as well.
